Robert Komaromi

Expert in European Labour Market Policy

Robert Komaromi is an accomplished expert in European labor market policy, with over 27 years of experience spanning Hungary, Germany, and international organizations. Fluent in English and German, with Hungarian as a mother tongue, Robert holds three MA degrees in Sociology, International Relations and Supervision.

Throughout his career, Robert has held significant leadership roles, including Director General of the Hungarian Public Employment Service. His expertise covers a broad spectrum: employment policies, vocational education, labor inspection. He has also served as Treasurer of the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES), contributing to global strategy and financial oversight.

Robert’s international experience includes working as a visiting scholar in the United States, India, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, and teaching as a visiting professor at Hungarian universities. Since 2015, he has worked with the German Federal Public Employment Service, including roles in Brussels and Bonn.

Currently, as a Seconded National Expert at the European Labour Authority (ELA), Robert supports the European Employment Services network (EURES) services.
