Đorđe Popović is a Managing Director at Resalta Serbia, a leading regional energy efficiency and renewable company, where he manages a dynamic team of experts in developing and implementing decarbonization projects across different segments of industry and the public sector.

 

Prior to joining Resalta in 2021, Đorđe Popović spent 15 years in corporate legal advisory, and was widely recognized as a Leading Lawyer (Tier 1 practitioner) for Serbian and regional markets in the Energy & Infrastructure area. He was, among other, a Partner at international law firm CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz, where he headed energy & infrastructure practices in the SEE region. As such, he was intensively involved in the development of the largest renewable and energy efficiency projects in Serbia and elsewhere. He also was a Leading Expert in numerous IFIs projects, including acting for EBRD in setting the legal framework for PPP and ESCO projects in the region.

 

Đorđe Popović also served as the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Telenor Serbia and Montenegro for two years. In addition, he is very active in the work of business associations, and was, among other, the board member at Foreign Investor Council, President of the Board of Governors of the Nordic Business Alliance, Vice-President of the E-Government Alliance at NALED and President of the Energy Committee at AmCham.
