Jakov Devčić

Director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Serbia and Montenegro

Jakov Devcic, born on November 22, 1987, is a German national currently based in Berlin, Germany. He holds a Master of Arts in International Relations/European Affairs from Andrássy University Budapest, where he excelled in EU affairs, enlargement policy, and political trends in Central and Eastern Europe. His thesis on political advocacy in EU energy policy received high praise.

Jakov's academic journey began at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, specializing in EU enlargement policy. His thesis on European security and defense policy and the EU mission in Bosnia was awarded the highest distinction.

With a diverse range of experiences, Jakov has demonstrated expertise in European policy and political affairs. His roles at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group, and Siemens AG have equipped him with valuable skills in political analysis, advocacy, and government affairs. As Head of the Representation Office for the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Serbia and Montenegro, Jakov is currently engaged in preparations for his deployment, continuing to contribute significantly to the foundation's mission.
