Vojin Mijatović

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts in Federation of BiH

Born on August 11, 1979 in Banja Luka, where he still lives today. He completed primary and secondary school in Belgrade, and graduated from the Faculty of Business Studies in Belgrade.
He started his career in the Ministry of Trade and Tourism, as a spokesman for the Tourist Organization, after which he assumed the position of spokesman for the Ministry for Refugees and Displaced Persons in the Government of the Republic of Srpska.
He worked as the head of the department for European integration in the Ministry of Finance of Republika Srpska, and then for two years held the position of advisor for European integration, chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After that, he assumed the position of assistant minister for EU pre-accession assistance in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Srpska.
He took the next position as adviser for international relations and cooperation with international financial institutions, to the President of the Government of the Republic of Srpska.
After a career in the public sector, he served as the director of the Economic Institute in Banja Luka.
In 2016, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where after two years he resigned from the same position, due to the bad situation in the country, and left the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He is a participant in a large number of conferences and projects in the field of human rights and minority protection organized by UNHCR, UNDP, the European Commission, OSCE, as well as many projects in the field of economy in cooperation with representatives of the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the European the Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Commission.
He actively speaks English, is married and has one child.

The BFC SEE Program is designed for cities and municipalities committed to enhancing their business environment, attracting investments, and promoting local economic growth. It offers a clear path to establish a favorable business climate and implement efficient, transparent local administration in line with good governance principles. The program assists local self-government in building and enhancing organizational capacities, developing plans, fostering private sector collaboration, and promoting transparency to reduce business barriers. At this conference, eligible cities/municipalities will receive BFC certification, and a new, IV edition of the standard will be unveiled, emphasizing sustainable and responsible business practices.
